In Greek mythology, the god Apollo (also known as Apollon) was associated, among other things, with the famous Oracle of Delphi. According to tradition, the last oracle pronouncement of the Pythia (the title of the resident seer/fortune-teller) in the second half of the fourth century – that is, when Christianity was spreading – is said to have been: “Tell the king, the beautifully built house has fallen. Phoibos Apollo has no refuge anymore, the sacred laurel withers, his springs are silent forever, the murmuring of the water is stilled.”

Warning: According to the sign on both sides (01.03.26), entry and driving are actually prohibited. There is no longer a railing.

This inn is located right on the state border. It has a lovely terrace with a view of the water. Excellent service.

Good cuisine, varied offerings with a great view of Lake Krüselin.

Other buildings worth seeing in Boitzenburg include the civil servants' residences near the castle, as well as the half-timbered houses along August Bebel Street....

The original sculpture “The Mourner” by Johann Gottfried Schadow, which was placed in the temple, was moved to the sculpture collection of the Friedrichswerder Church in Berlin in 1987.

It was built in 1855 under the direction of the architect Friedrich August Stüler and today often serves as a location for weddings.

The "narrowest" spot between two banks of the Schmalen Luzin. Always something going on...canoeists, cyclists, hikers, or just bathers. The peace and quiet is elsewhere, but still beautiful!
