Depending on the time of year, the access road from above is quite overgrown. The trail/path is barely visible, but suddenly one of those typical Alsatian narrow-gauge bridges appears, which takes you across the stream dry. After the bridge there is a short single trail section through the forest.

This asphalt path is a great alternative to the D 201 if you want to connect Barthenheim and Blotzheim in a beautiful natural setting, far from cars.

Bumbling through the fields, lost in thought.

A bike path/walking path with beautiful views and an accurate scale representation of the planets of the solar system. The sun is right next to the Casino Barrière with the radar tower.

Instead of taking the busy main road between Bartenheim and Blotzheim, you can try this quiet path through fields. Well paved, absolutely suitable for racing bikes and without motorized traffic.

Actually with the road bike rather borderline. The tarmac is not continuous and shows some major damage. Due to the driving ban (!), the path is also covered with some loose material. So basically doable with a racing bike and due to the nature with some charm but rather moderately suitable from the underground.

Very nice route closed to motorized traffic. At the casino is the beginning of the planet path, which then accompanies you for a while before it goes into the forest. The access via the casino is not as steep as the Quartierweg directly up from Blotzheim, but I find the quiet little street a lot nicer than the loveless car ramp up to the casino.
