Hidden between the wooded hills of the Vosges lies the Étang des Dames, an idyllic lake that invites you to a moment of peace and reflection. Surrounded by pines and deciduous trees, the water reflects the serene beauty of nature. This is a perfect place for a short break during your bike ride, with picnic facilities and often only the company of birds and rippling water.

Absolutely gorgeous, fairly even ride on the plateau of the Route des crêtes! Quite frequented by cars and motorcycle-groups on sunny days (as well).

When you take the time to get off the road, the view is worth a photo. The road is quite busy, mind you.

Famous in the Vosges, the Route des Crêtes allows you to travel through the high points of the massif, from Lac Blanc to Grand Ballon via Hohneck. Here, the peaks of the ridge line are enhanced by the view of the Altenweiher, a charming glacial lake located at the foot of the Rainkopf.

The beautiful chapel is located in the middle of a local recreation area with a volleyball court, kiosk and playgrounds for all ages. There are many free parking spaces and swimming areas on the lake nearby.
