The oldest house in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley, the Maison du Lieutenant is now an interpretation center dedicated to mountain agriculture, its environment, its products, and its expertise. A beautiful family hike below Les Fiz and Pormenaz, with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc and the valley. From here, you can access Lake Pormenaz via three trails, including "La Chorde," reserved for those with mountain feet, with cable passages and ladders, and "Les Argentières," a less challenging route with cable passages and steps, and then the one passing through the Pierre à l'Ours on the mountainside.

From the 16th century to the 18th century, the inhabitants of each hamlet built a chapel, a sacred place nearby where the saints who would protect them from possible epidemics and natural risks were invoked It was built in 1895 on a rocky promontory housing a much older oratory. For the inhabitants of the hamlet, it perpetuates the memory of the parish church that was nearby until the 14th century. In neo-Gothic style, it is dedicated to Notre Dame du Lac. A local pilgrimage still brings together parishioners from the nearby region every spring.
