The Schielensee is one of three noteworthy lakes in a small chain of lakes around Reichenow-Möglin and is located west of Reichenow. The lake seems to be neither bathing nor fishing water. In the past there must have been a jetty on the west bank, from which you can only see a few supports sticking out of the water. You can actually only get to the lake on the western shore, where there is also a small rest area with a bench.

From today's perspective, it is no longer imaginable that port operations once prevailed here.

The path runs in the NSG and FFH area "Batzlower Mühlenfiß-Büchnitztal", which includes the headwaters of the two rivers Batzlower Mühlenfiß and Büchnitz.

The Batzlower Fisch- and Mühlenteiche are located in the valley of the Batzlower Mühlenfißes north of Batzlow. They comprise a chain of several fish ponds that are still in use, separated by navigable dams. In the fish ponds east of the road from Möglin to Batzlow, there is still relatively intensive fish farming with carp, the ponds west of the road are probably no longer used. The ponds also served as a dam for the former Batzlower mill, which no longer exists today.

Here the path from Kunersdorf to Ringenwalde or to Batzlow crosses the Batzlow mill stream. Surprisingly, the stream carries constant water, which is fed from the mill and fish ponds about 2 km further to the west. There are stepping stones next to the ford, so that you can safely get to the other side with dry feet (by the way, a big step is also enough 😊).

At the port on the Old Oder, goods were shipped to Silesia, Pomerania, Poland and all of Prussia. Fish and boat tariffs flowed into the city coffers. Historic buildings at the former port such as the lime distillery, factory owner's villa, harbor storage facility and dairy still refer to this part of the city's history of Wriezen. The association "Interest Group Hafen Wriezen e.v." shows an extensive collection of historical photographs in the lime kiln. The historic lime kilns on the port area from the years 1860 (the smaller setting furnace) and 1889 (the larger blast furnace) are currently being refurbished with donations and voluntary work. As early as 1926, the lime distillery was given up due to unprofitability.
