The Zechin outdoor pool is one such place, where village community and summer fun meet. Behind the gate with its hand-painted lettering are a lawn, a kiosk, Wi-Fi, and a natural swimming pond that could hardly be more reminiscent of childhood memories. Clouds drift across the sky, the water sparkles, and somewhere an ice cream truck song blares. Brandenburg at its best.

A park that resonates with flowers – and science fiction. Here, on the outskirts of Zechin, not only do over 500 varieties of peonies bloom. Rusty creatures stretch out between magnolias and sequoias: an iron dragon, a robot with a staff and googly eyes, interspersed with metallic beetles and fantasy creatures. The garden is a work of art – wild, playful, and magical. The beginning of May to mid-June is peak season: Then it glows in all colors, smells sweet, and sounds like the buzzing joy of summer. Strolling through this green realm will experience a botanical cabinet of curiosities – complete with iron creatures and floral poetry. Beautiful, flat landscape. Great if you want to watch birdlife or just clear your head.
