An ideal starting point for hikes through and around Creuzburg. The parking lot is located directly next to the historic stone bridge and very close to the Liborius Chapel. An information board with hiking options is located at the parking lot.

Ideal hiking parking lot for tours around Creuzburg. The parking spaces are partly shaded under trees. Covered information boards show hiking and cycling trails and places of interest. Tables and benches are available for a break after the hike. The Werra Bridge and Liborius Chapel are right next door, and short paths lead from here to Creuzburg and the Gottesackerkirche. The top Creuzburg hiking trail is recommended: around 6-7 km lead through the Ebenauer Köpfe and Wisch nature reserves to the Gottesackerkirche and Creuzburg. And for Touringen stamp collectors, there are 4 stamps to collect on the circular trail.

Altefeld is known for its stud farm, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019. Today, in summer, you can see around 100 pension horses on the surrounding, well-maintained pastures. In Altefeld there is also a 500-year-old manor, a church and chapel (converted from a former round stable), as well as a stone bridge over the Ölbach that is well worth seeing.
