Nice place, take the opportunity to go up to Puy d'Anzelles which is right next door!!

Puy Giroux peaks at an altitude of 838m and, like the Gergovie plateau, it was occupied during Antiquity.

The Puy d'Anzelle was once a vineyard but it has given way to nature. A little lower than the Puy de Baneil, it still offers beautiful views of the Clermontoise area, with the Puys chain in the background.

The church of Saint-Nectaire dominates the town on Mount Cornadore. It was built between 1146 and 1178 and is dedicated to Saint Nectaire, who was the evangelizer of Auvergne.

Lake Chambon owes its origin to a volcanic flow that obstructed the Couze Chambon. Beaches are set up on the northern and western parts of the lake but it is possible to go around it to enjoy the calm of nature on the southern banks.

As you go around the lake to this point, the land rises and gives you the opportunity to see and appreciate the lake from this fantastic angle. The elevation also allows you to see Puy-de-Dôme in the distance. A real treat.

The Via Allier greenway as well as the developed Cournon lake allow you to cut off from the nearby town.
