The Saint-Sauveur chasm is reached by skirting the Cabouy chasm. This marvelous turquoise-colored body of water is a resurgence of the Ouysse River. The place is unreal.

The Ouysse is a river that flows underground for most of its course. It reaches Lacave through the deep canyons carved along its path. As you follow its path towards Rocamadour, you'll find yourself caught between the cliffs that form its canyon. Old fortified mills mark the route, sometimes clinging to the rocks of the cliffs.

You absolutely must stop at the chasm for its magical colors

Interesting little museum about Joachim Murat (1767-1815), one of Napoleon's most important generals. He was born and grew up in this village inn. Napoleon Bonaparte appointed him King of Naples.

Early May 2022, done in tandem. A tree across the path but with a portage it's okay. Also doable with gravel without too much problem.

This single track follows a GR (Greater Regional Trail) where you might encounter hikers, especially during the summer. But nothing's stopping you from enjoying it by mountain bike, as long as you stay vigilant and respectful of other mountain users!
