The beach in Hörnum is well-visited but not as crowded as, for example, Westerland. It's a fine sandy beach, and the water is remarkably calm, unlike Westerland, Wenningstedt, or Rantum! Teens dominate Hörnum, and you can feel it. At 32, I suddenly felt "toooooo old" 😂 Great if you want to get away from it all!

The seahorse on the Samoa beach represents the island's attitude to life and has been an institution for decades. If you're looking for a relaxing break on your tour, you should visit the "beach kiosk" and sit in one of the beach chairs with an espresso or latte. But be careful: it's easy to get lost here. Not ideally connected by road bike: From the bike path, it's about 200m over sandy gravel towards the west coast, so 30mm tires are helpful. https://samoa-seepferdchen.de/
