Approximately 2,200 kilometers of waterways run through the Drömling region, which is why it is also called the "Land of a Thousand Ditches." The UNESCO Biosphere Reserve provides a habitat for numerous rare and endangered animal and plant species. The area of the biosphere reserve extends over 450 square kilometers from the southwestern edge of the Altmark region along the Mittelland Canal to the northwest of Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to the waterways, the landscape is characterized by deciduous forests, meadows, fields, and moors. The Ehra church is part of the connected Ehra-Tülau-Brome parish. It is beautifully situated in the center of the village on the green village ring.

On the left of the picture you can see the column path of the GDR border troops. In the middle of the picture is the 6m wide lane safety strip. A raked area where tracks were immediately visible.

Great perfectly asphalted section. Mirror-smooth, so to speak. Absolutely flat and perfect to drive on. On top of that, little traffic. Absolutely recommended.
