The hill shelters a belvedere which offers beautiful panoramas over Lure and the Vosges. The orientation table allows you to better appreciate the landscape. The walk that leads there is accessible and pleasant.

The Grand Saint Maurice pond is located in the heart of the Grande Pile peat bog. This wetland is essential for biodiversity, and is home to rare species of flora and fauna. It is a popular place for bird watching and hiking.

The Butte offers a magnificent view of the valley and the first Vosges foothills.

Considered by some to be one of the most beautiful castles of the 19th century, it was built in a neo-Louis XIII style between 1882 and 1887 on the ruins of an old castle destroyed during the Battle of Villersexel in 1871. Its furniture dates also from this period. Now private, it can be visited between April and October. It also serves as a reception venue for weddings or events.

A sturdy bridge over the Ognon River where you can meet up with a group of other cyclists. The Ognon is a left tributary of the Saône and therefore a sub-tributary of the Rhône. The Ognon crosses ninety-eight communes. In Villersexel you can find many activities linked to this river: leisure center, canoeing, reception lodge...

Open for viewing Wednesday Thursday Friday from 1pm to 6pm. No leadership. You can stay overnight in the castle.

The town of Lure is located at the gates of the Natural Park of the Ballons des Vosges Saônoises. The latter includes two regions: Bourgogne Franche-Comté and Alsace, and four departments: Haute-Saône, Territoire de Belfort, Haut-Rhin, and Vosges. The town is renowned for its abbey which adjoins the Etang de la Font, a resurgence of the Ognon. It offers a very nice setting for all those who visit the city. The abbey park adjoins this body of water.
