The town of Lure is located at the gates of the Natural Park of the Ballons des Vosges Saônoises. The latter includes two regions: Bourgogne Franche-Comté and Alsace, and four departments: Haute-Saône, Territoire de Belfort, Haut-Rhin, and Vosges.
