로크브룬은 옹 강변의 예쁜 마을 그 이상입니다. 신석기 시대부터 사람이 거주했으며, 900년경 계곡을 감시하기 위해 지어진 카롤링거 시대의 탑이 내려다보고 있습니다. 하지만 이곳을 진정으로 독특하게 만드는 것은 바로 미기후입니다. 북풍을 피해 북쪽에서 보호받아, 에로 지역의 배후지에서는 매우 드문 현상인 오렌지 나무, 레몬 나무, 야자수, 선인장이 땅에 심어져 자라고 있습니다. 이러한 온화함 덕분에 "에로의 니스"라는 별명을 얻었으며, 마을을 내려다보는 테라스에 놀라운 지중해 정원을 조성할 수 있었습니다. 역사만큼이나 분위기 때문에도 꼭 들러야 할 곳입니다.

The Abbey of Sainte-Marie de Fontcaude is a former Premonstratensian abbey dating from the 12th century, located in the commune of Cazedarnes in the French department of Hérault in the Occitanie region, of which it is in fact a hamlet, on the edge of the territory of Cazouls-lès-Béziers. The name means "hot fountain" in Occitan.

The linguistic proximity of the "Pont Eiffel", which spans the river Jaur here at Olargues, and the low mountain range "Eifel" in the far west of Germany is no coincidence: The family of the designer - whose world-famous tower of Paris (named after its builder) is probably known to everyone - has German roots. The ancestors of the Eiffel Tower builder Gustave EIFFEL come from the Eifel town of Marmagen (in the Euskirchen district, North Rhine-Westphalia). This beautiful village, bordered by the Orb, is one of the gateways to the Haut-Languedoc regional natural park. Fossil hunters love this place because it has Ordovician flyschists nearby. In other words, a sedimentary rock which contains numerous marine fossils dating from the Ordovician (i.e. 485 to 443 million years old.)

The Gorges d'Héric, in the heart of the Caroux massif, are one of the unmissable gorges of the Hérault. It takes about 5km to reach the hamlet of Héric from the Gorges car park.

Great walk through high rising rocky landscape along the gorge. The main way up (300 m) to the little bar 4,5 km in Heric is paved with concrete and easy to walk.

A spectacular road that crosses the bottom of the gorges. Cyclists and hikers share the wide dusty road. You will find along your walk, many places where you can swim.
