The Abbey of Sainte-Marie de Fontcaude is a former Premonstratensian abbey dating from the 12th century, located in the commune of Cazedarnes in the French department of Hérault in the Occitanie region, of which it is in fact a hamlet, on the edge of the territory of Cazouls-lès-Béziers. The name means "hot fountain" in Occitan.

The Gorges d'Héric, in the heart of the Caroux massif, are one of the unmissable gorges of the Hérault. It takes about 5km to reach the hamlet of Héric from the Gorges car park.

Great walk through high rising rocky landscape along the gorge. The main way up (300 m) to the little bar 4,5 km in Heric is paved with concrete and easy to walk.

Superb green cycle path

A spectacular road that crosses the bottom of the gorges. Cyclists and hikers share the wide dusty road. You will find along your walk, many places where you can swim.

Located on the Véloccinatine (Véloroute 84) between Béziers and Bédarieux, this section of road is a true paradise. It runs along the (very busy!) road to Bédarieux, crossing the sublime vineyards of the region. It's quite simple: traffic is almost non-existent, and as long as you are comfortable on some gravel, this road is the most beautiful to enter or leave Béziers.
