The Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli in Cisternino, also known as Sant’Anna, stands outside the city on the road to Martina Franca and following the Bourbon decree of 1840 was intended to house the city cemetery. The façade is very simple, while the churchyard is enclosed by a wall of great scenic effect with the entire complex that is enveloped in a twilight and mysterious atmosphere.

Majestic cathedral with a Romanesque-Gothic style façade. Looking at it you never stop discovering friezes and decorations. It is one of the many works erected in the 13th century. by Emperor Frederick II of Swabia in these lands.
