The altar made of local stone between 1734 and 1737 by the master Pasquale Simone of Lecce. The altar is a splendid lithic machine of an exquisitely Salento matrix, decorated with twisted columns wrapped in spirals and floral elements interspersed with statues of saints. The altar bill is very reminiscent of that of the church of San Quirico, and it is no coincidence that it is signed by the same author from Salento. The altarpiece of the altar reproduces Saint Anne with the Virgin Child, called the Bomminnella to which one of the oldest fairs is linked.
