The hike involves some scrambling at the top 100 meters or so, and it's completely dry (i.e. no streams or water of any kind) so it can be somewhat challenging on a hot sunny day.

You will find on these paths, in addition to the wonderful views of the Yaté dam lake, impressive trees such as kaori and araucaria, but also spectacular tree ferns. There are also beautiful endemic orchids. It looks like Jurassic Park! Fortunately no more risks: the dinosaurs have disappeared. The vegetation remained.
