The Poggensee outdoor pool is one of the most beautiful outdoor pools in the district. The pool is surrounded by beautiful old trees and is therefore a wonderful summer oasis. For water lovers there are plenty of opportunities to swim, splash and play. A water slide in the separate non-swimmer area and two bathing islands complete the offer. Active sports enthusiasts can play football or use the beach volleyball court. Around Hude Square, in the Heiligengeist district, you can still experience medieval Oldesloe. The town's oldest buildings are located here. At the confluence of the Trave and Beste rivers, there was once even a small harbor. The watery paths still characterize the historic old town center today. The path has now (as of January 2024) been badly damaged by agricultural machinery (racing bikes not recommended) and is also frequently used by hikers or dog owners who are not familiar with the area by car. The many confusing bends can lead to dangerous situations - the private path belongs to my parents' property and is not intended or permitted for use by car (except by residents - unfortunately the sign "No entry - residents only" was stolen at some point by ignorant people and was not replaced by the municipality

The hiking trail to the left of the Trave begins in Oldesloe and ends after just 4km at the level of the Kneeden. There is no other route so close along the Trave to Lübeck. The bridge leads over to Sehmsdorf, where you can follow the old school path to Meddewade on the right side of the Trave. https://www.komoot.de/highlight/678294
