They are offering a personalized breakfast in addition to the existing menu of lunch, savory snacks, and coffee and cake during opening hours from Thursday to Sunday, starting at 9:30 a.m. "To ensure as many guests as possible can enjoy breakfast, we have two seating times," says Jan-Hendrik Stahlberg. The Goldmarie am See is open until 5 p.m. on these days during the winter season and invites you to enjoy a relaxing time in the café. Events outside of opening hours are also possible upon request for corporate events or groups. Inquiries and reservations can be made by calling 0 45 51 / 9 08 44 57 or by emailing info@goldmarieamsee.de. The origins of today's church on the Kirchberg in Bad Oldesloe date back to 1150, when Bishop Vicelin consecrated the first stone church in Oldesloe and named it after the apostle Peter. The Vizelin Church was badly damaged in the war of Duke Erich V of Saxe-Lauenburg against Lübeck in 1415 and was rebuilt. In the years before 1537, the church burned down due to a lightning strike and could not be re-roofed until 1542. In the middle of the 18th century, the church was so dilapidated that it was demolished in 1757 and construction of the current late baroque building began, which was completed in 1763. In 1802, a turret with a small clock bell was built on the church, which initially had no tower, donated by the Danish King Christian VII. It was removed after a lightning strike in 1818. Until 1884, the bells hung in a separate bell tower. The tower in the neo-Romanesque-neo-Gothic style was added in 1886 and has since dominated the cityscape with a height of around 60 meters.
