Feet in the river to cool down

Covered washhouse north of St-Cybardeaux. Entrance is through a door in the main facade; the back is open. It is fed by a spring, and an engraved stone plaque welcomes passersby: "Modest Font Franchaud, be my page of history. Under your protective roof, all well-placed hearts will know, while washing, how to recall your shelter from the sun and the icy winters. Donated by Jean Rousseau in the year 1885, blessed on August 23, 1885."

Covered washhouse at the exit of St-Cybardeaux, dating from 1877. Rectangular with three sloping edges, two wash tables were installed there at the time, to allow for a more comfortable break.

Washhouse with two sloping stone curbstones. It is located along the road, 1.5 km from St-Cybardeaux, sheltered by trees. The washhouse's water comes from a small circular stone fountain, while the water flows on the other side under a bridge once crossed by the Petit Rouillac.

Church dating from the 12th or 13th century depending on the source, originally Romanesque, its vaults were remodeled in an ogival style in the 18th century. Listed as a Historic Monument since 1925. A beautiful airy little square provides a clear view.

In fact, this building is a small square with a stone table and coping stones, at the entrance to the village of Grillauds, on a stretch of the Nouère at the Grillauds mill, just under the bridge spanning this stretch.

Shaded municipal area, very spacious, equipped with numerous benches and tables. A building accommodates a sanitary area, and a permanent “kitchen” space includes a sink with its faucet. For the most forgetful, or the hungriest, a pizza vending machine is placed in front of the road ;)

A Gallo-Roman theater, which is located on the territory of the commune of Saint-Cybardeaux. The ruins of the Gallo-Roman theater of Bouchauds are at the heart of a natural concavity.
