The castle ruins in the natural area, which have been listed as a historical monument since 1898, are not the remains of one but of two castles. The Dabo rock is deep in Alsace in the middle of the forest, it goes steeply uphill. You can drive wonderfully by car or hike. At the top is the Dabo chapel and from there you have a wonderful all-round view of Alsace. A trip there is worth it!
