Very large castle above Saverne with fantastic views over the Vosges and the Rhine Valley. In good weather, the Strasbourg Cathedral can be seen from the castle. The top of the rocks can be reached by stairs, with a walkway dubbed the “Devil's Bridge” also connecting two of these rocks. The castle is managed - there is a restaurant. The castle can be visited without admission.

The Château du Haut-Barr is the ruin of a rock castle near Saverne.
It was built around 1123 on and between three rocks.
It sits enthroned at an altitude of 470 meters above the wooded valley of the Zorn.
