The Arsenal as we know it today was built in 1793 to replace the old, dilapidated Arsenal. The rectangular brick building with wooden cornice was used as an arms and ammunition warehouse until the end of the fortress of Willemstad in 1926. After this period, the Arsenal was only used to store military goods. Since 1960, the striking building has been privately owned and regularly hosts cultural and social activities, such as the annual Christmas market in December. Beautiful cobblestone strip through the polder landscape. For those who don't like cobblestones, the side strips can be used. These are constructed with bricks.

The border between Zeeland and Brabant runs on the water. The bridge spans the Scheldt-Rhine canal and is a steel arch bridge with abutments on both sides.
