Arfons is an atypical small village located on the foothills of the Black Mountain. Crossed by the GR 7, it has a municipal campsite to allow hikers to stop off.

Nice path allowing you to follow the Rigole de la Montagne as well as the natural bed of the Alzeau.

If the Alzeau (and the surrounding rivers) feeds the Mediterranean side of the Canal du Midi via the Fresquel, it was also necessary to supply water to the ocean side of the canal which crosses the threshold of Naurouze at 194m. A whole catchment network was therefore designed, including the mountain channel that starts here.

Pleasant and very beautiful setting, be careful not to have a real sandy or grassy beach to rest on, but tree trunks do the trick!
