The Church of Oignies is a neo-Romanesque church, dedicated to Saint Barthélemy. Consecrated in 1861, it is one of the two Catholic churches in the village. You can admire its architecture and history, as well as the Cathedral of Light, a glass sculpture that marks the geographic center of the 15-country European Union. The church is surrounded by nature trails that offer a variety of scenery and wildlife. You can also explore the neighboring villages of Viroinval and Olloy-sur-Viroin, which have their own historical and cultural attractions.

The first bridge between Fumay and Haybes, a suspension bridge, was built in 1841. In the 20th century, several works followed one another. The current bridge was built in 1966.

If you are looking for a breathtaking view of the Meuse and the town of Fumay, don't miss the panorama of Fumay. This scenic site is accessible via a paved street and driveway that leads to a marked trail. Along the way, you will discover a succession of exceptional panoramas which reveal the almost perfect meander of the Meuse. You will also see the impressive mounds of slate waste which testify to the history of Fumay, the city of slate. The panorama over Fumay is a privileged place to appreciate the beauty of nature and the charm of the Ardennes.

This castle only dates from the 17th century. It is located on the exact location of an old fort razed during the time of Louis XIII. In 1815, it became a Céruse factory. White lead has been known to be the best white pigment since ancient times. Its use was banned at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1835, it became the headquarters of a slate company. It has today become the collection center, post office and municipal services for the town of Fumay. A property which has seen, as you can see, many utilitarian aspects over the years.
