The Camellia Park in Locarno was opened after the World Congress of the International Camellia Society in 2005 and displays countless camellias in all colors and shapes. The park is open during the day and can be visited without an entrance fee.

The port of Locarno serves as the starting point for many boat connections on Lake Maggiore. Right next to the port building there is a restaurant with a wonderful view of the lake as well as a kiosk. The promenade that runs along here is also very worthwhile. Both the footpath and the cycle path are separated from the road, so no one gets in each other's way and safe progress is guaranteed even if you are a little distracted.
