The characteristic of Cassino is the extraordinary tree trunk (see photo).

This stretch of path between Fiesso and Quinto is part of the Strada Bassa hiking route. The itinerary connects Airolo and Lavorgo, and runs along the valley floor of Val Leventina, on the slopes of the Lepontine Alps.

Lake Ravina is a small alpine lake located in the Leventina Valley, in the Canton of Ticino. It is located at 1888 meters above sea level, at the foot of Pizzo Sassello, and is part of a hiking itinerary that connects several lakes and huts in the area.

The Garzonera hut is an unattended alpine refuge located at 1,973 meters above sea level, in the municipality of Quinto. It is a former farmhouse, renovated in 1988 preserving the typical characteristics of mountain buildings. There is a dormitory and a wood stove and it is reachable in summer and winter with the possibility of several hikes and trail runs.

Giof is a Swiss town in the canton of Ticino in the Leventina Valley. Located at around 1400 meters above sea level, it is an excellent starting point for excursions on foot, by bicycle or on skis, towards Lake Ritom, the Garzonera refuge, and towards the peaks of the area, such as Pizzo Meda, the Sasso della Boggia and the Poncione of Tremorgiovicino.

Cassina is a small town located in Val Canaria, a side valley of Val Bedretto, in the Canton of Ticino. It is located at 1421 meters above sea level, about 7 km from Airolo. There are just a couple of houses and a water source.
