At the end of the beach promenade there is "suddenly" a huge building: Villa Olmo. Imposing park with a panoramic view of Como. The bike has to be pushed.

"Docile" slopes, very pedalable, but excellent for training, especially if done in company of the Italian climb of San Fermo. 2 km, average gradient 8%.

Beautiful climb in Switzerland, on the border with Italy. You take it from Chiasso, short and quite pedalable (average gradient 8.5%, with maximum gradients that rarely go into double figures), but very interesting for training, also because there are other similar climbs nearby, such as the one, famous for its his presence at the Giro di Lombardia, in San Fermo. The slope profile of the climb has been uploaded to the image.

Villa Olmo is a perfect example of Italian neoclassical style. Its elegance and charm didn’t go unnoticed by Napoleon Bonaparte and Giuseppe Garibaldi, who were two of the most notable guests of the villa. The villa began restoration work in early 2024, so its interior will not be open to visitors for about a couple of years. The gardens that surround it are open all throughout the year.
