I couldn't stop to visit the church

Historic crossing point in Switzerland.

Beautiful Church... although similar to many others of its kind at first glance, it actually hides many peculiarities.

1960, the year of the discovery of the Lombard Majolica called "Biancone" in the Breggia Gorge, marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new one with the establishment of SACEBA (Società Anonima Cementi Balerna). From 1964 to 1973 the cement factory produced 1,500,000 tons of cement! In 1975 the building crisis caused a first significant contraction in cement sales and decreed the definitive closure of the quarries in 1980. Following the closure of the cement factory, the Park saw fit to react to bring the area back towards a new concept of development. The redevelopment project was preferred to the demolition of the cement factory in order to be able to tell the story in full. The Torre dei Forni, perhaps the most suitable structure for documenting the history of the place, has been converted to a new use which includes exhibition and educational spaces, multi-purpose and cultural spaces.
