Beautiful downhill finish for the end of L'Ardéchoise. Be careful at the end of the descent with some very technical turns.

At the Col du Faux, you are at an altitude of more than 1000 meters and Mont Mézenc shows itself in all its grandeur while Mont Gerbier de Jonc makes its appearance.

Devesset Lake is perched on the Haut-Vivarais plateau at 1,074 meters above sea level. It is one of the most famous lakes in Ardèche. Surrounded by fir trees, the Lac de Devesset site is classified as a Natural Area of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest. Here you can picnic, do nautical activities or simply explore the surroundings by taking the small paths.

The old Lamastre station is the arrival point of the Ardèche train. Called Le Mastrou, this train takes you on a discovery of the Gorges du Doux. Built from 1886 to 1891, the railway line goes up the gorges from Saint-Jean-de-Muzol to Lamastre. This old steam locomotive takes you back in time. It is possible to make the trip with bicycles. Remember to book your tickets well in advance, especially during the summer.

The Col du Faux from Saint-Félicien is 10.4 km long with a total drop of 481 m. The average gradient is 4.6% with maximum gradients of 8.8%.
