From the end of the Guttères ridge, and just before descending towards the Dés cabin, you have a superb view of the Pyrenees.

The port of Aste is a pastoral path on the hillside. Along the trail you will find a set of cayolars. These are traditional shepherds' huts offering shelter and a stopover in the middle of the pastures.

From Gère, this magnificent balcony path takes you to Plaa Dou Soum. The panoramic path par excellence, which raises you from 500 meters to 1100 meters above sea level. A nice positive elevation - distance ratio, but the view is worth the effort.

The Bénou plateau, located 900 meters above sea level, offers an open and clear landscape on the surrounding mountains: the Ports of Castet, Béon and Aste, the Mail Massibé. You can also admire the high Pyrenean mountains and their snow-capped peaks in the distance. This site also enjoys the presence of cromlechs: these are prehistoric monuments, formed of menhirs placed in a circle.

The Plaa Dou Soum is a very modest summit but which serves as an ideal perch for admiring the Ossau Valley and some highlights of the first Pyrenean belt: the Ger pass, the Gabizos or the Latte de Bazen peak.
