Tip: The best time to visit is late morning or afternoon – the light and atmosphere perfectly complement the medieval setting. Parking is available directly at the castle; afterwards, explore the town or continue cycling along the Moselle Cycle Route.

A magnificent vantage point high up on the Stromberg (314 m) near Niederkontz – with expansive panoramic views over the Moselle Valley, the vineyards, and across to Luxembourg. Nature and the distant view merge here to create a special moment. Tip: Come on clear days or at sunset – the river and landscape will glow golden, and you'll have the perfect spot for a peaceful photo or simply to enjoy.

🌄 Stromberg – Limestone cliffs near Niederkontz A dry rock formation on the Stromberg summit – 314m high – surrounded by forest, with views of the Moselle Valley and the Luxembourg hills. A tranquil spot with an impressive panorama. Tip: Ideal on clear days – a short detour from the path is worthwhile for a nature photo with a truly striking effect.

A beautiful hiking trail that's a must-do when you're in Perl. It's teeming with butterflies and grasshoppers in the most vibrant colors. Plus, there are stunning views and simply unique natural scenery. Don't forget your camera and patience if you want to take amazing photos of insects and flowers!

A cozy French town with a magnificent and worth-seeing fortress ruin. Not overcrowded but absolutely beautiful with plenty of charm. Many old buildings, some of which are abandoned, are still worth seeing.

A very beautiful route, with some slightly challenging elevation changes, but well worth it. Also worth noting are a few kilometers on quiet country roads. A must-do.

Very beautiful castle with sometimes exciting exhibitions and events. At an event organized by the University of Metz, I was able to experience an interesting tour there with a great dinner in the large hall. The meal was accompanied by a lute ensemble.
