Located on the western shore of Lake Mosvatnet, the Stavanger Art Museum is a cultural stop easily accessible from the lakeside trail. The building itself is integrated into the surrounding parkland. Inside, you can see a significant collection of Norwegian art. It is a good place to take a break and visit the museum café.

All along this trail that circles the lake, you are close to the shore. But the section that crosses this small wood offers you superb views and quiet spots where you can sit down and enjoy the scenery.

Like a small, free-access eco-museum, here you can discover different types of traditional Norwegian cabins.

It is a very pleasant shelter for enjoying an outdoor picnic while protecting yourself from the weather, whether it be sun, rain, or wind. Its architecture, which blends into the environment, makes it particularly appealing.

Sverd i fjell 1983 to commemorate the Battle at Hafrsfjord, which took place around the year 872 AD. The monument was designed by the sculptor Fritz Røed. It is modelled on three Viking swords ds found tour at different local ocations in Norway. The swords have been placed in the bedrock.

As well as being the start point for the popular route to Preikestolen, there are a range of activities available here, inclucing swimming in Refsvatnet lake. There are also some accommodation options to choose from.

After a short uphill from Øygardstøl, the route to Kjerag descends to this beautiful river crossing. After this, there's more ascent before a glorious run across a superb moonscape.

Øygardstøl is the start point for the route to the Kjeragbolten, one of Norway's most famous natural landmarks. Before setting out, consider that it's a 7-mile (11 km) out and back with around 2,600 feet (800 m) of elevation gain. It's only doable as a run in the summer months.

Bjergstedparken is a rich cultural area that hosts the Utopia music festival. Centred around an old concert hall, there's plenty to see and do here.

Stravanger Cathedral dates back to the Middle Ages and has maintained much of its ancient architecture. It's thought that the building was designed by English artisans, due to its Anglo-Norman stylings.

During the restoration in 1866, a monastic vestment was found in the attic. It is decorated with a picture that probably shows Saint Svithun. There is a carillon above the entrance. It has been hanging there since 1925 and initially consisted of 22 bells. With the addition of 27 bells in 1997, it now consists of 49 bells. The Gothic baptismal font dates from between 1250 and 1300. Around 1000 skeletons were found in the crypt, which indicates that another church stood on this spot before the current cathedral.
