JAUJAC is surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Tanargues mountains, Fabras hills and St. Cirgues de Prades. This diversity of landscapes makes this village, built along the Lignon river, a real gem.

It doesn't go on gravel! And for mountain biking, it's better to have a good technical level, a good bike and energy. Some sections are extremely simple but you will have really technical passages. Big stones, vegetation that makes the path narrow and slopes. In the worst case, it is possible to walk for the hardest parts. This trail is also a hiking trail. It is therefore rather well maintained but you will certainly see hikers. On very hot days, be careful, there is not a single tree on this entire section. The climb is simply impossible.

The loop trails are very nice! Small disappointment once at the top not to find a spot where you can enjoy a picnic with a view of the lake :)

Break for lunch at the Lanarce pizzeria, a treat, and always well received

The Col du Pendu from the Col du Bez is short (3 km) but with an average gradient of 7% peaking at 1,435 meters above sea level with sections at a maximum gradient of 8.5%.

Nice walk

I recommend La Motte, blue slope, as well as Chambelasse and Ranc Grand, green slopes, all three magnificent. Remember to bring a jersey for your arrival in Lignon, and a little change to taste a DRAC, the local beer brewed in the village.

An old Roman road between Meyras and Le Crouset, very pretty, paved with stones for the first few meters, then on dirt, to reach Neyras-les-Bains, avoiding the main road.
