There are tables and chairs for relaxing, as well as information boards about the history of the town and the statue. The statue was erected in 1887 in memory of Eudes de Châtillon who became Pope Urban II in 1088.

The current building dates from the 16th century. It was badly damaged by the bombings of the First World War with subsequent restoration work.

Status of Pope Urban II who was born in Chatillon sur Marne. You can climb up inside the statue's arm. There are also remains of the old fortifications on the castle hill (Motte). Otherwise a great vantage point over the Marnetal.

Originally the castle church from the 11th century. was it after its destruction in the 16th century. rebuilt as a Renaissance church. What makes it interesting is its eventful history, as well as that of the place.
