Very beautiful, memorable, magnificent place 🤩

A pretty cobbled street that goes up, or down, depending on your point of view!

The town of Montreuil-sur-mer is surrounded by a rampart, built between the 13th and 17th centuries. Take advantage of this walk of about 3 km, in the cool of the trees, to discover the impressive military heritage of the town. Be careful around the ramparts (over 40 metres high) Bikes must be kept on a leash.

Here, there is a series of artworks and sculptures, including “BLACK MAN” by Bruno Catalano. Take a stroll and let yourself be transported by these artistic manifestations.

Very pretty valley, quiet road

Étaples Military Cemetery, France, is the largest Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in France. It contains the graves of more than 11,000 soldiers from different countries who died during the First and Second World Wars. You can learn about the history of the cemetery and the stories of some of the people buried there by reading the information boards at the entrance and along the paths. The cemetery is located near the coast, allowing you to enjoy the view of Canche Bay and the cool breeze. The cemetery is open daily from dawn to dusk and entry is free.

Jean Pierre Rives, from Toulouse, well known for his qualities as a rugby player and as former captain of the French team, is also an artist recognized in the world of sculpture. It was in Etaples that he agreed with the Mayor to make a short stopover and drop off three of his monumental works which now stand on the port and opposite the municipal tourist office.

Impressive cliffs, but you can't cycle underneath them.
