the sculpture of the Fisherman, created by Sacha Fasquel, was inaugurated on the Maréïs roundabout. The city, anxious to anchor its roots and recall its origins, had decided to call for a sculpture by Marin Pêcheur. Sacha Fasquel was chosen for this project after his sketches were validated by the town's fishermen. The presentation to the public had already taken place at the last Sculpture Fair last April, in the room of the rope factory and it is quite naturally that it had to find its final place on the Maréïs roundabout, the gaze turned in direction of Boulogne-sur-mer. This statue was financed entirely by sponsorship from private companies and the city would like to thank Crédit Maritime and the company Eurovia. Will a pretty sailor one day come to accompany the Fisherman in the city?
