The Cafédrale is the gastronomic heart of the Rathauspassage. Here, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., you can enjoy breakfast and lunch, as well as coffee and cake specialties, with the best view, as the large windows offer a clear view of the Alster Arcades opposite. The menu includes Hamburg classics such as warm round pieces of pork, raw potatoes with sour cream, herring with salad, and Franzbrötchen (Franzbrötchen) – as well as hearty French quiche and Spanish bocadillos with sun-dried tomatoes and Manchego cream. The Cafédrale emphasizes sustainability, quality, and regional cultivation when it comes to products and ingredients.
