Solid cafe/bakery with indoor and outdoor seating.
Coffee (extra strong on request!) and Franzbrötchen were delicious, the staff was very friendly - I'd love to come back!
A nice and relaxed opportunity in this corner, if you don't want it to be "upper hip" or "upper chic" - that's exactly what I was looking for!
Sandwiches, cakes, tarts, bread etc - everyone gets their money's worth here.
And if you don't have time to queue, you can place your order online in advance.

Mon - Fri 06.00 - 19.00
Sat 08.00 - 18.00
Sun 08.00 - 17.00

The Gänsemarkt is a public square on the corner of Dammtorstrasse and Valentinskamp in Hamburg's Neustadt district. Several shopping arcades as well as the well-known Jungfernstieg at the south-east corner lead into the triangular square near the Hamburg State Opera. (Source: Wikipedia)
