Very nice location, very nice landlords, station on the E5, small alpaca breeding. Here you not only take provisions, but if you are interested you will get a lot of interesting information about the long-distance hiking trail and e.g. also about the lovable alpacas .... that for example the ears look different than with the llamas

In 1873, the Meran section of the German and Austrian Alpine Association (DuÖAV), with the financial support of Franz von Meran, acquired an alpine hut to convert it into 18-place accommodation for mountaineers. It was inaugurated on September 5, 1874. The Hirzerhütte thus became the oldest Alpine Club hut in what is now South Tyrol.
After the First World War, the hut was expropriated by the Italian state and handed over to the Meran section of the Club Alpino Italiano (CAI), which subsequently neglected it. In 1945 it was acquired by a member of the Kofler family, who has managed it ever since and had it renovated in 1973. After a fire in 1981, the Hirzerhütte was rebuilt on the same spot. Wikipedia
