"The Hamburg Town Musicians" is the title of this sculpture, consisting of a dog, a monkey, a rabbit and a rat standing on top of each other like the well-known "Bremen Town Musicians". It is intended as a memorial to raise awareness of animal testing and to commemorate its victims, animals worldwide. On June 30, 2023, the sculpture, which was initially set in concrete at night in Hamburg-Uhlenhorst by the animal rights organization "Soko Tierschutz" without permission, was erected at its current location with official blessing.
