The Elbe beach of Krautsand is between 20m and 50m wide over a length of approx. 5km.
The fine white sand invites you to swim, sunbathe and go for a walk. The beach is clean, not rocky and, above all, not overcrowded. A separate dog beach is also available.

From the Krautsand car park you can walk along the beach to this tidal creek. At first this seemed to be the end of the walk. But a few steps back, then through the bushes we can keep walking on dry feet in the direction of the barrage.

Here, on weekdays in May, you have the wonderful beach almost to yourself. You can simply stroll slowly and even watch the ships.
