Here the classic ensemble elements around the Kö, such as the Steigenberger Hotel, collide with modern architecture by Daniel Libeskind. I think the mix fits perfectly and is complemented by the adjoining courtyard garden. The long construction site is now thankfully history and locals and visitors alike can enjoy the redesigned town centre.

The Kö-Bogen is an urban development measure in the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital Düsseldorf. The project is named after the quarter-circle arc that the Hofgartenstraße, which once ran along the edge of the Hofgarten and the pond on the Landskrone, described in the direction of the Königsallee, the Kö. The construction project is divided into various construction sections and construction phases.
