On top of the Gokyo Ri at 5,357 m hikers will experience one of the most beautiful views from the trekking peaks in Nepal. You will see four eight-thousanders, Mount Everest (8,848 m), called Sagarmatha in the local language, Cho Oyu (8,188 m), and the peaks of Lhotse (8,516 m) and Makalu (8,463 m). Also, Nuptse (7,861 m), and the impressive peaks of Cholatse (6,440 m) and Taboche (6,495 m) can be seen. There are also many other seven-thousanders and famous six-thousanders such as the shapely Ama Dablam (6,812 m).

To the west of what is perhaps the largest glacier in the Himalayas, the Ngozumpa, is the approximately 5400m high Gokyo-Ri. The area is particularly popular with tourists due to its location on one of the main hiking trails from Everest Base Camp. Always worth a detour. 📷👍
