From the road (from Zichem to Diest) next to the Demer, a narrow path leads to this place. Apparently some hikers were just as curious for me whether one could get to the Demer via that path.
And it is. A nice place to linger.

I think this is a really great place for a walk. If you come from Zichem you first have some ponds purchased by Natuurpunt on the left and the Demer on the right and just after the bend you will see this: a beautifully redesigned course of the Demer where you can look at all that beauty on the 'new' piece of land with quite a bit of current and steeper banks (good for the birds). And then you look up and you are surrounded on both sides by the witness hills of Kaggevinne on one side and Molenstede on the other. It has become and is becoming really beautiful. A favorite spot of mine. The first time I felt like I was in another country - but of course tastes differ AND you have to pass it on the right side (not the part with the many highlights but on the Bekkevoort side) for a nice effect and really the complete bend (just get off the path and onto that piece of excellent land). Otherwise you have the feeling that you are just away from the Demer.
