The Villa Rothschild is a property and today's luxury hotel in Königstein im Taunus, which served as the meeting place for the Prime Minister's Conference from 1948 to 1949 to clarify disputed questions of the Parliamentary Council.
It was built in 1888. The opening of the house was a social event that also included Empress Victoria and the Prince of Wales.
In 1938 the Rothschild family fled to Switzerland from the Nazis. The building was confiscated by the Reich Finance Administration. The villa was not damaged in World War II. Since neither the city of Königstein nor the previous tenants were able to raise enough funds to carry out an urgently needed basic renovation, the hotel was temporarily suspended on October 31, 2005. After extensive renovation and demolition of a bed wing, the hotel was reopened on March 1, 2007 as the Villa Rothschild Hotel & Restaurant.

A park of 10.4 hectares extends around the villa. In the course of time, the Rothschild family had acquired extensive areas around the villa in order to have an unobstructed view of Königstein Castle, but also of the city of Frankfurt am Main. A park was created, which was structured by old trees, an artificial watercourse and open spaces.
