    Here on the black lake you have a beautiful view of the castle bridge, Fuchsinsel with swan house and the castle. If you're lucky, the trumpet swans will come rowing. very nice place with seating e.g. on the old stone bench.

    The Black Lake was created by expanding and redesigning the old Branitz village pond: On the Fuchsinsel stands the so-called Swan House in the Swiss style. Prince Pückler had brought a model of it back from a trip to Salzburg, based on which he had it built and erected around 1850.
