On Wednesday 06 November 2019, the 205th anniversary of Adolphe Sax's birth, Le Tour de Monsieur Sax was inaugurated , a kiosk designed as a tribute to the man who pioneered the reform of concert bands, brass bands and clicks. Reform that led to the exponential multiplication of popular music groups and the birth of bandstands in the mid-19th century.

This resolutely modern-looking space was built on the site of the former open-air theatre, in connection with the stone terrace completely renovated for the occasion and with the Princess Elisabeth of Belgium Esplanade.

The design of this new place of life and activity responds to a double vocation: to be both an open-air stage and an "object to read". Large cut-out Corten steel surfaces with backlight evoke an evocation of Adolphe Sax and his inventions. An additional stop on the monumental route that will contribute to increasing the walking time in Dinant and to the unfolding of the "magic circle" in the heart of the city.
