Dinant on the Meuse is a remarkable town in Wallonia. On the one hand, it is very picturesque on the banks of the Meuse and the citadel towers over it on a steep cliff. The city is known for its church Notre-Dame directly below the fortress.
Dinant is the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone.
Colorful saxophones can be found all over the city to commemorate the city's famous son.
With the many cafes and restaurants on the river bank, real charm spreads even if it can get very crowded on public holidays and weekends.
